A Real American Problem, is a cathartic journey through some of the most absurd and dismaying moments over the past few years. Here, my childhood toys are used as stand-ins for the real-life figures involved in these notorious moments. The decision to use toys to portray such grim events was twofold; to provide a sense of escapism via a childlike view of the world, and to place focus on the circumstances of the scene, not just the players involved.
